Project Recap
In partnership with the Da Vinci Science Center, ILI is designing evaluation tools and building staff capacity to help the organization learn from and respond to its local community.
Project Overview
In a two-year partnership with the Da Vinci Science Center, the Institute for Learning Innovation (ILI) is developing evaluation tools to support Da Vinci’s mission to bring science to life and lives to science,” particularly for their local community in Allentown, Pennsylvania. This collaboration comes at a pivotal moment as the organization transitions into a new facility, expands its offerings to reach earners of all ages, and deepens relationships with new audiences while maintaining strong ties to existing ones.
Through face-to-face conversations and surveys, ILI is creating structured opportunities to gather feedback from teachers, field trip participants, public visitors, and community members living within walking distance of Da Vinci’s new downtown location.
These insights are helping the Da Vinci Science Center improve its responsiveness to community needs while building on existing strengths. In partnership with Da Vinci, ILI is designing tailored evaluation tools and expanding staff capacity for data collection and interpretation to support continuous improvement in museum practice.
