Partnerships for Broader Impacts Design project (BID)

The Partnerships for Broader Impacts Design project (BID) is helping to change who has access to learning over their lifetime helping informal science education (ISE) organizations and universities create durable partnerships that create capacity for broader impacts activities that more effectively serve communities. The BID project is funded by the National Science Foundation and is a collaboration between Cornell University, Oregon State University’s Center for Research on Lifelong STEM Learning, Pacific Science Center, Sciencenter, University of Washington – Bothell, University of Wisconsin – Madison, and the Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery, and is led by the Institute for Learning Innovation. The project is a spin-off of Portal to the Public, and will produce a flexible guiding framework and set of tools that serve as extensions of the existing Portal to the Public resources. The project’s core research question centers on the characteristics of durable institutional partnerships.
